MY FUTILE DREAM

It the glazed sandstone and ivory mansion, floating on Heaven’s abyss
On the porcelain and marble throne
With undone hair and fluttering cloak
Sits the angel of fire, Michael-sama
The sacred sword lies at his side
His followers scattered, bowing around him
Wait to serve his whim and command
But his eyes, covered by his flaming hair are distracted, shadowed by thoughts of fiery war and battle,
The dragon on his right cheek is almost alive, wishing to indulge in the wine of destruction.
Or perhaps you think of your forsaken brother, my lord?
Do you still anger at him, sweet angel?
The heavens call him angel of light
Even does Assiah, the physical world
But what goes on in his mind, I wish I knew.
It is sinful, it is wrong, yet I love you.
Angel of fire, I would wallow in the fires of Gehenna
From the pit of Inferno, I would look up at your throne and whisper your name.
How I wish that your fiery heart would rest one day
And if I must sacrifice my soul so that I could forget my love
I would lock my soul in the dark dungeons of Hell so that no one could sacrifice it and that I could continue to selfishly love you, eternal one.
If he would but once hold me, I would die in ecstasy.
Until I can win that moment of unreality, I keep on loving him.
When the painful fires within you die.Perhaps, I could lay my head on your knee.

This following piece is on the fire angel Michael but the description is in accordance with the character Michael in Kaori Yuki’s beautiful manga, Angel Sanctuary.
